These homes are currently receiving moderate renovations to modernize the interiors. Fort Johnson’s second community center opened in May 2009 in Maple Terrace. The Acadian style luxury facility is open to all Army families living on post at Fort Johnson, offering numerous amenities for Army families, including a club room, multi-purpose room, media room, Wii game room, fitness room, computer lab, laundry facility, Olympic size swimming pool and even a kiddie pool and playground. And to keep the little ones happy and active, Maple Terrace now has 15 new playgrounds, so there’s plenty of fun to go around!
